About Kernalin

Verified GPU optimization
for the AI era.

AI can generate an optimization in seconds. The hard part is knowing whether it deserves to exist. Kernalin exists to prove it — before it ever reaches production.

The belief

Speed without sacrificing correctness.

The GPU era rewards whoever ships the fastest kernel. But a faster kernel isn't useful if it's wrong — a decode loop that drops an operation, a GEMM that memorized the benchmark, a rewrite that's only faster on the one shape you tested. We believe speed and correctness are not a trade-off. You should be able to have both, and prove it.

"AI can generate an optimization. Kernalin proves it deserves to exist."

Generation is cheap. Proof is the moat. Every candidate kernel runs a gauntlet no reward-hack survives, and is kept only if it is correctness-clean, anti-cheat-clean, and credibly faster — otherwise it's rejected before it's ever reported.

1
Generate
AI proposes an optimization. Fast, plentiful, and untrustworthy on its own.
2
Verify
Correctness gate and anti-cheat decide whether it is real.
3
Prove
A statistically honest verdict — the number you see is the number you keep.
Why verification is the category

The bottleneck moved from generating to trusting.

The industry can now generate kernel rewrites faster than any human can review them. That shifts the hard problem: not "can we make it faster?" but "can we trust that it's still correct?" Verification is the answer, and it is the category Kernalin is built around — the layer that turns a plausible optimization into one you can actually ship.
Engineering principles

How we build the engine.

Four invariants run through every layer of the platform. They are what make a Kernalin verdict something you can gate a deploy on.

Contracts-first

Every kernel is defined by an explicit contract — shapes, dtypes, tolerances, semantics. The editor, the CLI, and CI never disagree about what a kernel is or whether it is correct.

Refuse rather than guess

When Kernalin cannot measure or prove something, it does not shrug and approve. It refuses, and says why. A speedup we cannot stand behind is not a speedup we report.

Honest None

When we do not know, we return nothing rather than a confident fabrication. No invented counters, no imaginary verdicts — absence of an answer is itself an answer.

Anti-reward-hacking

Optimizers are ruthless at finding loopholes. We build the graders that close them — input-differential and operation-coverage checks that a hack has to beat all of.
The product is the philosophy

Faster kernels. Proven correctness. Lower GPU bills.

There is no gap between what we believe and what we ship. The moat is verification, and every part of the platform is engineered to earn your trust in a number.
